FIRE crews tackled a car blaze at a town car park on Saturday morning.
The fire broke out on the roof of St John’s multi-storey in Southway, around 11am.
It started in the engine of a silver Toyota Celica before spreading to a black Astra estate. The blaze, which also caused minor damage to an Audi vehicle, was extinguished by around 11.40am.
Three crews - two from Colchester and one from Tiptree - attended the blaze.
