FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a difficult chimney blaze in a Suffolk village.
The crew from Framlingham were sent to a house in Silverlace Green, Parham, mid-morning on Sunday after getting reports of the chimney blaze.
They found the construction of the chimney made tackling the fire difficult, and had to remove part of the flue to get access.
Once the flue had been removed, the work was much easier and they were able to put out the fire within an hour of receiving the first emergency call about the incident.
