NEW boy Rory Fallon has promised to ruffle a few feathers - in the opposition ranks.

Front-runner Fallon, signed on a two-month loan from Plymouth on Friday, is poised to make his debut in tomorrow afternoon’s eagerly awaited East Anglian derby at Carrow Road.

The New Zealander relishes the chance of a fresh start at Ipswich, and is looking forward to propelling Town back up the league.

“The manager (Roy Keane) said that he wanted a target man. That’s what I am all about, bringing people into play and ruffling a few feathers,” enthused Fallon.

“I see it as a massive chance for me, and I will be giving it 100%. I’m definitely confident that I can get goals here, and I believe that I am in my prime.

“I believe this club can go up. They certainly started the season looking that way,” added Fallon.

Fellow Town strikers Jason Scotland and Tamas Priskin have both bagged five goals this season, but neither have scored since Priskin’s strike in the 2-1 win at Sheffield United three weeks ago.

Fallon has only netted one goal himself this term, for a Plymouth side wallowing in the lower half of League One, but that goal did come only last weekend, and the 28-year-old has had injury problems this season.

“It has been tough in a struggling team near the bottom. But this move has happened so quickly. It’s a massive surprise,” added Fallon.
