TWO people were killed and one person critically injured following a road accident near to the Suffolk/Norfolk border.
TWO passengers who died in a road accident near to the Suffolk/Norfolk border were from the Watton area, near Thetford.
Norfolk Police have released more information following the crash at the junction with Lopham Road, Garboldisham, at about 10.10am yesterday.
It involved a black Vauxhall Zafira and a silver Ford Puma
Two rear seat passengers in the Puma, a woman in her 40s and a man in his 20s from the Watton area, died at the scene.
The female front seat passenger in the Puma, who is from the Woking area, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, with serious internal injuries and remains in a critical condition.
The male driver of the Puma, also from the Woking area, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries and is currently in a stable condition.
The male passenger of the Zafira received pelvic injuries while the three other passengers received minor injuries.
All the occupants of the Zafira were from the Great Yarmouth area.
Paramedics from the East Anglian Air Ambulance, police and fire crews from East Harling, Attleborough and Diss attended the scene.
Emergency medical charity Magpas also attended and treated a 46-year-old man.
One of the cars had split in two following the collision and a second ended in a field.
The road was closed for most of the day.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT) are renewing their appeals for information.
