FIREFIGHTERS were alerted in the early hours of this morning after smoke was spotted billowing from a bunker near to a Suffolk campsite.
The brigade was called at around 2.05am to reports of the incident at Hallowtree camp site, off Nacton Road in Ipswich.
A crew from Princes Street fire station discovered a Second World War concrete pillbox with rubbish inside, which had sparked the fire.
The incident was under control by 2.30am.
