WHAT a result for Framlingham Town last weekend with their 2-1 FA Vase victory over Stowmarket Town.
They were not the only side from the area to beat opposition from a higher league in the second qualifying round with Ipswich Wanderers and Whitton United doing the same.
But Rob Allum’s Framlingham take the team of the week award for their noble efforts as the SIL’s first representative in the competition for over 20 years.
As well as picking up a �800 prize money cheque from the FA they go forward with Westerfield and Felixstowe and Walton United to see who will win a voucher from Club Colours for being team of the month for September.
Andy Coote wins my player of the week accolade for scoring twice for Achilles in their SIL 4-2 win over Melton St Audry’s.
