TOTTENHAM midfielder Jake Livermore is set to sign on loan for Ipswich Town this morning.

TOTTENHAM midfielder Jake Livermore is set to sign on loan for Ipswich Town this morning.

Livermore should train with Town today, and will sign on loan until January. He should go straight into the squad for this weekend’s trip to Scunthorpe.

Manager Roy Keane revealed at this morning’s Portman Road press conference: “We’ve done a deal with Tottenham to take young Jake Livermore.

“He’s a player I have been interested in, and with Tottenham having got knocked out of the Carling Cup (by Arsenal), Harry (Redknapp) has given us permission to speak to the boy.

“He’s a very good player with massive potential, like Andros (Townsend). Hopefully he’ll come in and do well for us.”

Keane confirmed that he is also targetting two other loan players, although he admitted that he was “nowhere near” getting either of these deals done.

One of these targets is reported to be Swansea striker Craig Beattie.
