A ROAD was expected to re-open today after flooding late last night made it impassable.
FLOODING has forced the closure of a Suffolk road tonight as heavy rainfall made it impassable.
The stretch of Abbey Road between Leiston and Theberton is expected to be closed until tomorrow as police say it will be impossible to clear the road overnight.
A police spokesman said: “There is deep standing water and a bit of flooding across the road.”
Motorists are being warned to take alternative routes where possible.
