A WOMAN escaped injury when a Ford Focus ploughed into a telegraph pole in Ipswich this evening.
More than a dozen firefighters were sent to Hawthorn Drive to help the driver, who was reported to be trapped following the accident, which occurred outside the Chantry Clinic at 6.50pm.
Earlier in the evening, two fire crews were called out to tackle a blaze on Rushmere Heath.
Around 100 square metres of the heath was said to be alight when firefighters received the report of the fire just before 6.30pm.
Elsewhere a shed was destroyed by fire at a cottage in Hall Road, Boulge, near Woodbridge, just after 6.15pm.
