THE Tour of Britain got underway in Bury St Edmunds this morning and 25 minutes in there was an early break.
With the weather glorious and excited crowds out in abundance, the four-man break was led by Jonathon Tiernan-Locke (Rapha Condor Sharp), Travis Meyer (Garmin Transitions), Ronan McLaughlin (AN Post Sean Kelly) and Liam Holohan (Raleigh).
As the riders entered Wickhambrook, it was Tiernan-Locke who led, but there is still a long way to go.
