DRIVERS in Ipswich faced delays this afternoon after a main road was blocked off by emergency services treating a man who had suffered a stroke on the top deck of a bus.
Fire crews, police and paramedics were sent to the scene in Norwich Road at about 2.20pm after the man fell ill and could not be removed.
Firefighters using a turntable ladder spent about 20 minutes working to safely pull out the rear window of the bus in order to help get the 62-year-old patient out and allow him to be taken to hospital.
