THE boyfriend of a 23-year-old Suffolk woman who was found dead in Gran Canaria has been remanded in custody this morning.
Chris Chittock, 36, of Alnesbourn Crescent, Ipswich, appeared before Ipswich Crown Court charged with perverting the course of justice.
A bail application was refused, and he will reappear before the court on September 17.
Chittock also remains on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of his girlfriend, Sarah Shields, from Ipswich, was found in Gran Canaria earlier this month.
He is due to return to Ipswich police station at 10am on Wednesday, September 15 to answer his bail.
