OUT of favour Ipswich striker Jon Stead has reportedly rejected a move to Bristol City.

The Robins had tabled a 200,000 bid for the 27-year-old forward, who tumbled down the pecking order at Portman Road last year.

But the former Huddersfield, Blackburn, Sunderland and Sheffield United player has apparently refused a switch to the Championship club.

Stead spent a spell on loan at Coventry last season, where he scored twice in 10 league appearances.

Stead joined Ipswich for 600,000 from Sheffield United last summer but only made 22 appearances, scoring six times.
