FELIXSTOWE: A rescue helicopter was dispatched last night to a man on an offshore supply ship.
The man, stationed 43 miles from Felixstowe coast on the ship Island Pioneer, was suffering from an eye condition which deteriorated and needed hospital treatment.
The RAF rescue helicopter was sent out to the ship from Wattisham airfield shortly before 5.30pm yesterday.
They evaluated the man and transferred him to Ipswich Hospital for further treatment.
