A HOUSE has suffered fire damage after it was struck by lightning this evening.
The property in Farmleigh Avenue, Clacton, was hit at around 7.15pm and firefighters from Clacton and Weeley were called to the scene.
The first floor of the chalet bungalow was well alight when crews arrived and they spent more than an hour tackling the flames.
The fire was put out by just after 8.45pm.
