HUGELY popular singing star Olly Murs was back on his old Essex stomping ground to open a new clothes shop.
The talent show runner-up won tens of thousands of fans during his time on the X-Factor last year and residents in Braintree showed they were still firmly behind him as they turned out in great force on Saturday morning.
Olly, 25, was at Chelmsford Star Co-operative Society’s Quadrant department store in George Yard, Braintree, which has undergone a major facelift.
After opening the re-launched store, the Witham-based heart-throb spent about an hour talking to fans and signing autographs.
