SPURS boss Harry Redknapp believes that Roman Pavlyuchenko may have finally turned a corner in his career at White Hart Lane.

The Russian striker has struggled since a 13.8million move to the Londoners with Redknapp often being critical of his laid back attitude.

But Pavlyuchenko followed up his double at Wigan with another brace against Bolton in the FA Cup fifth round replay and Redknapp hopes the front man has finally settled in North London.

“He took his goals well, he is a quality finisher and he has proven that again tonight,” said Redknapp.

“Last week he was excellent in training, he was the best player in everything we did, he looked like he wanted to play.

“Nobody wants to see him do well more than me; it makes my job a lot easier.

“He is a very nice lad but he is laid back and some days he needs a rocket. He's playing like he's had a rocket.”
