AN 81-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after colliding with a reversing vehicle.
Emergency services were called to Hawthorn Drive at 9.35am today after reports of a collision between a green Vauxhall Astra and an elderly woman.
It is thought that the incident occurred whilst the woman was walking along the pavement when a reversing car struck her.
Police worked to control the traffic in the area while the East of England Ambulance Service was on scene.
The woman was later conveyed to hospital and is believed to have suffered from a broken arm and possible leg injuries.
