KING'S Lynn have been hit by the news that Alex Davies has been refused a British passport and won't be able to join the club this season.
Davies will need to apply for a work permit which means his average will be too high to include him in the Stars side.
Norfolk Arena chief Keith Chapman said: “It's heartbreaking for young Alex and very unfortunate for the club, we have had a specialist lawyer look into making an appeal but they do not believe it will make any difference.
“This now means Alex will have to apply for a work permit to ride in the UK and instead of having an assessed average of three points it will now be five points, but hopefully this is not the end of Alex's career with us and we will see him in the team next season.”
