POLICE have charged a man with the murder in connection with the death of a man from the seaside town of Jaywick.

POLICE have charged a man with the murder in connection with the death of a man from the seaside town of Jaywick.
Jason Bethell, 31, of Skelmersdale Road, Clacton, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on February 1.
He is accused of killing John Smith, 58, who suffered stab wounds in The Broadway, Jaywick, on July 11. He died in hospital on September 18.
Bethell is the second man to be charged in connection with the death of Mr Smith.
In August, police charged Laurence Wheatley, 45, of Sea Way, Jaywick, with the attempted murder of Mr Smith.
Wheatley was remanded in custody and will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court at a later date.
