AUSTRALIA'S Rory Schlein admitted there was something about riding for Australia that gelled his team together as they beat Great Britain in Thursday night's Under-25 Test Match at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich.
"We started poorly and perhaps it was a mental thing," Schlein said.
"But we are a close-knit bunch and we enjoy a laugh. Riding for Australia seems to bring the best out of us.
"We knew it wouldn't be easy against the Brits, but they ran out of steam a bit and we showed good character to win."
