FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze on a Suffolk farm that has spread to 100 tonnes of straw bales.
FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze on a Suffolk farm that has spread to 100 tonnes of straw bales.
The fire broke out at about 10.40pm at a farm in Mendlesham Green, near Stowmarket.
Crews from Stowmarket and Debenham tackled the fire, which was said to be in “close proximity” to farm buildings.
The farmer was able to help by using machinery to pull apart the straw bales. Firefighters were expected to remain on site overnight.
