FIREFIGHTERS had to put out a blaze alongside the A14 on the edge of Felixstowe today.
A fire service spokesman said a crew from Felixstowe dealt with 20 sq metres of grass verge alight between the dock spur roundabout and Trimley St Mary.
The fire was out just after lunch and caused no disruption to traffic.
Fire officers have urged people to be extra careful because the countryside - including roads verges, heaths and parks - is so dry at the moment and there have been a rash of incidents over the past few days.
