Speedway: Teenage reserve Joe Jacobs returned to form and how with a paid 13 point haul that inspired Mildenhall Fen Tigers to their first point for 2 months in a pulsating match at West Row on Sunday afternoon.
The Fenmen came back from eight points down to snatch a 45- 45 draw in a meeting that had superb racing throughout and was a great advert for National League speedway from both teams.
Jacobs started with a heat two victory and with Nick Laurence picking up a third place that put the Fen Tigers two points up after a shared first heat but then the visitors struck back and the home team were never back in front until after the final chequered flag.
After another Jacobs win in heat 14 the Tigers were 4 points down and needing a maximum from the final race and the duly responded as Luke Priest and skipper Barrie Evans blasted away from the tapes to lead home the impressive Kyle Hughes and with Mark Simmonds falling at the back the race was awarded to leave the score tied to end a remarkable fight back by the Fen Tigers.
Mildenhall are next in action on coming Friday away at local neighbours Kings Lynn start time 7.30pm
