A DOCTOR from East Anglia has become the latest victim to die after contracting swine flu.
The Bedfordshire GP Dr Michael Day died on Saturday at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
The exact cause of death is still unknown and the case has been reported to the coroner, but it was confirmed that Dr Day tested positive for the swine flu virus.
NHS East of England, NHS Bedfordshire and Dr Day's colleagues in the practice would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family as they come to terms with their sad loss.
