POLICE are today searching for a missing Ipswich man who has not been seen since earlier this month.
Syed Khurram Zahid, of Portman Road, Ipswich, who has not gone missing before, was last seen by his flat mate on June 5. Syed made contact with his friend on June 8 and June 11, saying that he would be home in a couple of days but has still not returned and no further contact has been made by him.
The 34-year-old had said he was going to London for a couple of days.
He has access to money and is believed to be in possession of three mobile phones but it is understood the batteries are flat.
Contact has been made with family and friends, and addresses he may have visited have been checked out, but so far there has been no luck in finding him.
Syed, known by some friends as Khurram, has been a student at Nottingham University and is currently studying with Cardiff University.
He is described as Asian, about 6ft, medium build and was wearing a black leather jacket and smart shoes.
A Suffolk Police spokeswoman said: βIt is important to trace Syed Khurram Zahid and officers are asking him or anyone who sees him or knows of his whereabouts to contact the duty sergeant at Ipswich Police Station on 01473 613500 without delay.β
