Several police vehicles were called to Whitehouse Park, Ipswich, after the police were contacted at about 3.30pm.
Part of the park, which is off Norwich Road, has been sealed off with tape.
A Suffolk police spokesperson said: “We have cordoned off an area of Whitehouse Park after receiving an allegation of sexual assault from a teenage girl this afternoon.
“Officers were contacted around 3.30pm and attended the scene. The teenager will be interviewed by officers to determine what has happened and enquiries are being made to track the alleged offender.”
