POLICE have today charged a man following the death of a 29-year-old in north Essex last year.
A 28-year-old man from Slough, near London, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and other traffic offences.
It followed a crash in Centenary Way, Clacton-on-Sea, on September 27 last year. Two days later, 29-year-old Tony Proctor, from Collingham, was pronounced dead at Colchester General Hospital.
The 28-year-old, whose name has not been released by police, has been released on conditional bail and will appear before Colchester Magistrates' Court on April 30.
