FIREFIGHTERS were called first to an allotment and then a community hall to tackle blazes in Suffolk.
FIREFIGHTERS were twice called to undergrowth fires in the space of 12 hours at an Ipswich allotment.
A crew from Princes Street in Ipswich was alerted to a fire in undergrowth on a Bramford Lane allotment at 8.52pm last night.
Using one hose reel, firefighters were able to extinguish the flames by 9.10pm.
At 8.45am this morning a fire was again reported at Bramford Lane allotments.
A crew from Princes Street arrived to find a fire in undergrowth measuring 15 metres squared. The fire was under control shortly after 9am.
