POLICE in Essex have appealed for witnesses to a road collision that left a pedestrian badly injured.
The man was walking along Park Road towards Wivenhoe Railway Station at about 5.20am on Friday February 24 when he was hit by a gold car.
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene and the pedestrian was left with severe injuries.
An Essex Police spokeswoman said: “Police would particularly like to speak to another man who was also walking towards the station at the same time who may have witnessed the collision.”
