ENQUIRIES are being made this evening after a man rammed a police car and fled.
The man was stopped by a traffic officer on the A12 near to BT's Adastral Park at about 3.30pm.
But after being pulled over, he rammed the police car and escaped.
Minutes later the traffic officer found the car abandoned.
The Suffolk police helicopter was searching for the man over Martlesham Heath, near Ipswich, this afternoon.
However, police were unable to find him. Further enquiries are being made by Suffolk police this evening.
