REFUSE collections in the Babergh and Mid Suffolk areas will resume today after they were cancelled because of the heavy snowfall.
Both domestic and recycling collections have begun but a spokesman for Babergh District Council warned that a backlog would be likely and that refuse staff were working to rectify it as soon as possible.
The spokesman added: “Residents are being advised to continue to leave bins out as usual and they will be collected - perhaps not on the usual day but as soon as practically possible.”
