AN 82-year-old woman died this morning after the car she was driving left the road and hit a parked vehicle.
The accident happened at around 8.40am when a blue Fiesta being driven by Winifred Howard mounted a driveway in The Commons, Colchester, and collided with a Volkswagen Touran.
A brick wall was also demolished in the crash.
Ms Howard, who lived in the Prettygate area of the town, was taken to Colchester General Hospital but was certified dead a short time later.
