Crews from the town used four breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze by just before 7.30pm.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Fire Service said no more details about the incident are available, although there were no reports that anyone was hurt.
He said she was also unable to confirm if people had to be evacuated from the restaurant.
