POLICE in Essex have appealed for help from the public after a car was hit by an air gun pellet.
A small hole was left in the offside door of a silver Citroen Berlingo, which was parked in Maria Street in Harwich.
The damage to the car will cost �400 to repair and the incident is thought to have happened at some point between 7am on Monday and 12.20pm yesterday.
Investigating officer Pc Rob Cubberley said: “We'd like to remind people that they should only use air weapons within the confines of their own private property or in a registered area.
“They should be used responsibly and with extreme care. Individuals should also ensure that they have the correct documentation to own something like this.”
