A FRESH appeal has been made to trace witnesses to an accident in which a retired Essex archivist was killed.
Nancy Edwards died after colliding with a car in Chelmsford on Friday.
The 79-year-old was involved in the accident in Parkway at about 10.50am and died later that day in Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
Police have renewed an appeal for anyone who saw Mrs Edwards, of Maletse Road, Chelmsford, collide with a red Seat Alhambra to contact them.
Officers said the area was busy at the time of the accident but few people had come forward with information and appealed for witnesses to contact Chelmsford Road Policing Unit on 0300 333 4444.
A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving but was released on police bail without charge until March 27.
