FIREFIGHTERS believe a car fire, which also destroyed ten metres of fencing, was started deliberately.
The blaze was reported at 4.01am this morning in Avondale Road, Ipswich. Two crews from Princes Street station arrived eight minutes later, at the corner of Avondale Road and Powling Road, to find a car well alight.
The flames had by then set light to a nearby fence but, with the use of two breathing apparatus, firefighters had the fire under control by 4.21am.
The cause of the fire is thought to be suspicious.
