An East Anglian theatre company is keen to hear your extraterrestrial experiences at two special Flying Saucers Cafes being held in Norfolk and Suffolk - do you know if the truth is out there?
You are not alone: an East Anglian Theatre company is asking people for their extraterrestrial encounters at two special UFO cafés to help it stage a brand new show which will examine whether the truth is out there.
The Keeper's Daughter Theatre Company is hosting two free-to-attend Flying Saucer Cafés – one in Norwich and another in Bury St Edmunds - to gather stories and eye witness accounts from people who have experienced seeing something strange from the skies.
The discussions will help the company with its current research project, 'In Your Skies'. The project, which is being made in association with Eastern Angles, Arts Council England, The Garage in Norwich and The Corn Hall in Diss, will culminate in a new stage play exploring the UFO phenomenon and the people who seek the truth.
Writer Mark Finbow said: 'I'm looking to write a play that will put ufologists' evidence and beliefs on stage. So, we're looking for people with a genuine interest in UFO phenomena to come along to the cafes, meet like-minded people and to share their unique experiences.
'We want to open up discussion around this topic as part of the research process that will inform the development of In Your Skies. Come and have a cup of tea and slice of cake, share your encounter and discuss the world of ufology with our artistic team.'
The free events will both be catered by Biddy's Tearoom from Norwich – the first takes place in Norwich on October 1 at Biddy's Tearoom at 15 Lower Goat Lane and the second at the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds on October 16, both events are from 7pm to 9.30pm and spaces must be booked in advance. Tickets are free and can be booked by emailing Mark at inyourskies@gmail.com.
The Weird Norfolk team from the EDP and the East Anglian UFO group will be present at the cafes for those who seek further information about local paranormal occurrences.
