Nottinghamshire referee David Coote has been tasked with keeping the peace during Sunday's East Anglian derby at Carrow Road.
The official has shown 97 yellow and four red cards during 25 matches so far this season, most of which have been in the Championship.
Coote has taken charge of one City game during the current campaign, showing three yellows during their 2-0 win at Birmingham City on Boxing Day, booking Josh Murphy and Christoph Zimmermann.
He has also taken charge of two Ipswich matches, showing eight yellow cards – five of them to Town players – during a 2-2 draw at Hull. He also took charge of the Tractor Boys' 1-0 defeat at Wolves in December, booking four players, three of them in the Ipswich team.
Nick Hopton and Nigel Lugg will be assistants, with Keith Stroud the fourth official.
The last player to be sent off in a derby was Christophe Berra in the play-off semi-final second leg which City won 3-1 at Carrow Road in May 2015.
