An "energetic" mini marathon runner has celebrated the end of his mammoth challenge in support of his mum diagnosed with a rare cancer.
Mitchell Cuncannon, three, reached his 26.2 mile target on Tuesday, October 25 and has raised over £3,500 for "people who are poorly like mummy".
The Hadleigh boy also overcame a bout of tonsillitis mid-schedule.
Members of his family and friends from his playgroup joined Mitchell to complete the challenge in instalments throughout the month.
His mum Tina Russo was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in April this year and has just finished a round of chemotherapy.
Their JustGiving page has reached seven times its original target and Tina said she's "incredibly proud" of what her son has managed to achieve.
Nikki Vince, Mitchell's "auntie Nik Nik", is a keen runner and initially suggested the unique way to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
She's been helping him plot routes past his favourite places, including Hadleigh park, Huffers Café, the butchers and his Turkish barber.
"I don't think he'll stop running now," said Nikki.
"He keeps asking me when he's going out for his next run, so we might aim for an ultramarathon."
Mica, deputy manager of Hadleigh Parkside Preschool, said the other children loved joining in on the challenge adding, "they keep asking: 'when can we go running with Mitchell again?'"
"We never had any doubt that he'd run the full 26 miles," she added.
"He's such a funny, energetic little boy."
One of his motivations while completing his challenge has been the promise of ice cream, his favourite snack.
Touched by his story, Peppa Pig World has offered Mitchell and his family complimentary tickets so he can meet his friends Peppa, George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig.
"He's so excited to go and he deserves a treat," said Tina.
"People ask me how I keep smiling all the time, but I have to because I've got Mitchell.
"He's been so good throughout my treatment and I'm very proud of him."
Mitchell's JustGiving page remains open for donations and Tina encouraged people to give, "no matter how small or big the donation is".
