Plans have been submitted to build a luxury 'glamping' site promoting "mindful country living" in a Suffolk village.

If approved, the proposals would see a "private luxury getaway" established at Goodrich Park in Palgrave.

The application is partly retrospective, as there is a glamping pod already in existence on the land.

However, the proposals would formalise the use of this pod and introduce three tent camping pitches with an eco toilet and shower block.

The applicant states they are aiming to support "mindful country living" in a "tranquil environment, "allowing guests to get back-to-basics whilst being surrounded with a peaceful natural environment".

The land in Lion Road currently serves as a residential garden and the glamping pod has been in use since May 2021.

This use was incorrectly established under the 28-day rule, resulting in the need for a retrospective planning application.
