A pub in Sudbury had a "really enjoyable" evening when a TV presenter visited to host a quiz.

The White Horse had a visit from Soccer Saturday presenter, Jeff Stelling, on November 16 after they won a Greene King Abbott competition for him to visit.

On offer for those that attended were food, drink, a quiz hosted by Mr Stelling, and a Q&A session with the former Countdown presenter.

Gary and Ashley Addison, licensees for the White Horse in Sudbury, said: "It was a really lovely and enjoyable night.

"There was a good atmosphere, all seats were taken and it was just a really nice, chilled-out evening."

Jeff Stelling took pictures, hosted the sports-themed quiz, and also recorded a special video for the local school's football team which was competing in the final of a competition.

Mr and Mrs Addison continued: "He was really lovely.

"He has the patience of a saint with the number of people wanting photos, and he just kept smiling.

"A very nice man and everyone seemed to enjoy the evening.

"He's funny too, he had good banter throughout the Q&A session and the crowd loved it."

The White Horse, a Greene King pub, won the evening after writing a letter stating why they should win, after selling Greene King's Abbott drink.
