The Three Lions were back in action once again and one pub in Ipswich was packed out with football fans to cheer their side on.

Isaacs on the Quay was filled with fans ready for the last 16 clash which saw England cruise through to the quarter finals with a 3-0 victory over Senegal.

Fans were confident before the game, with one fan predicting a 3-0 win.

Sam Ross said: “yes, very confident, it’s a game we should win.”

Another fan, kit, said: “I’d say we have a good chance of winning but you never know in the knockout stages.

“Senegal were the Africa cup of nations winners so they are a good side and England can mess up.”

Not everyone was hopeful however, with Kai saying: “I’m not very confident.

“I’m very pessimistic, I don’t trust England as much ever since the semi final 4 years ago in Russia.”

His friend, Ewan, added: “England should be beating Senegal, but we haven’t got the best track record, so I feel like if we lose, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

England did win however 3-0 with goals from Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka

After the win, fans were in high spirits as chants of Its Coming Home rang around the courtyard.

They will now face France in the Quarter Final.

Finley Longman said: “England were brilliant, we made it look very easy.”

“France is probably going to be one of the hardest games, but if we play like that again, we will be alright.

“If we do best France, it is coming home.”

Caleb Swan said: “I am happy with that.

“Obviously we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves and France is going to be a difficult one.

“If we show up though, then it is a 50/50.
