A county lines drug dealer who dealt in parts of Haverhill has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Bashar Kasule of Waller House on the Maryville estate in London was sentenced to two years in jail, suspended for 24 months at Ipswich Crown Court today (December 8).

The 27-year-old previously pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

Kasule was arrested in north London on August 26 last year and was initially released on police bail while further enquiries continued.

In July 2021 he was charged with two counts of being concerned in supplying drugs between April 25 2021, and July 4 2021, on for cocaine and the second for heroin.

Police enquiries lead officers to establish he was running a County Line drug supply line from the N16 postcode of London into Haverhill under the name of the ‘Jason Line’.

Investigation of the mobile phones in Kadule’s possession established he was sending bulk SMS messages advertising Class A drug supply, to known drug users in Haverhill.

The SCDT team devoloped the relevant information and intelligence, conducted enforcement activity and then provided an officer who built the case and saw the investigation through to trial.
