Parts of Suffolk have seen snowfall this evening as the cold snap continues. 

A yellow warning for snow and ice is in place for most of the county this evening.

Snow has been seen in Sudbury and Great Cornard this evening with most of south Suffolk expected to see wintery showers.

A spokesman for the East Anglian-based weather forecasters Weatherquest said the snow is likely to settle due to the sub-zero temperatures. 

The spokesman added that some parts of south Suffolk could see up to 5cm of snowfall overnight.

According to the Met Office, snow may push in across parts of east and southeast England, leading to a "risk of travel disruption, especially on Monday morning".
