Property law firm Attwells Solicitors, which has offices in Ipswich and Colchester, won the Client Care Award at the LEAP Modern Law Conveyancing Awards 2022.
The award was presented to Attwells at the event hosted in Liverpool – where it was up against national law firms such as Taylor Rose and UK conveyancing firm Countrywide.
“For an SME law firm like us to win a national client care award, as voted by our peers, is a massive achievement and highlights our efforts to modernise and improve the conveyancing experience,” said founder Nick Attwell.
The firm also won the Feefo Gold Trust Service Award in May 2022 after being consistently rated over 4.7 out of 5 by clients. It was one of the first advocates for online reviews locally.
“Customer reviews allow others to know what level of service they can expect,” said Nick. “During a stressful time like moving home, this can be extremely reassuring.”
Since 2020, Attwells has helped to move nearly 4,000 homeowners and first-time buyers across the East of England and London.
Founded in 2007, the company is led by a team of IT-savvy individuals that focus not only on client care but also on the fundamentals of law.
“We are focused on improving the client’s experience when moving home,” said Laura Catania, head of conveyancing at Attwells. “We aim to break down the barriers to law, not only by giving young people the opportunity to enter the legal profession but by providing our clients with plain English advice at the touch of a button.”
This was evident back in 2020 when Covid-19 paused the country; Attwells found innovative ways to overcome the crisis and has since expanded in size. However, this was not just limited to its legal services – the company also supported its employees by introducing a mental health and wellbeing programme.
In June 2022, mental health charity Mind awarded Attwells a silver award in its national workplace assessment. The company was also ‘Highly Commended’ for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Award at the LEAP Modern Law Conveyancing Awards.
