Four men have been charged after copper was stolen from a disused factory in Sudbury.

Police were called to an address in Newton Road at about 4.35am on Saturday, December 17.

Officers attended the scene and arrested four men in connection with the incident.

They were taken to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning.

Vasile Moisa and Augustin Szaz, both 50 and of no fixed abode, Constantin Ionel, 44, and Laurentiu Jugaru, 25, who are both of London, were all charged with theft.

Ionel was also charged with possession of a bladed article and Szaz was charged with having no motor insurance and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.

The four men appeared before Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Monday.

They were bailed before their next appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday, January 16.
