A residential road in Martlesham and part of the A12 have been reopened after a car crashed into an outbuilding, causing a gas leak.
Emergency services were called to the crash in Top Street at about 11.10am on Thursday.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said a cordon was put in place as a result of the crash, with nearby properties evacuated.
Officers were also on the scene and a road closure was put in place.
Police later confirmed a stretch of the A12 outside Martlesham was closed after the incident.

The closure was in place in both directions between the roundabout for Dobbies Garden Centre outside Woodbridge and the junction for the A1214 at Martlesham.
Emergency services said they were awaiting the arrival of Cadent to switch the gas off.
Three ambulances and a number of police and fire engines were spotted at the scene.
No casualties have been reported.
