A Suffolk man appeared before court today (Thursday, January 5) charged with the murders of a mother and her 12-year-old daughter but entered no pleas in connection with the accusations.

Peter Nash, of Heath Estate, Great Waldingfield, appeared before Ipswich Crown Court in relation to the discovery of the bodies by police officers, who were called to a property in Heath Estate following concerns about the safety of individuals.

Entry was gained to the address on Thursday, September 8 where 12-year-old Louise Nash and her 44-year-old mother Jillu Nash were found dead inside.

A Home Office post-mortem examination in respect of Jillu Nash concluded her cause of death was pressure on the neck.

A Home Office post-mortem examination in respect of Louise Nash determined the cause of her death to be a stab wound to the abdomen.

Nash entered no pleas and will appear again before Ipswich Crown Court on February 6 for the next stage in the proceedings.
