A poll conducted by this newspaper has found the majority of readers are against industrial action.
Strikes hit key sectors across the UK in 2022 and appear to have continued into the new year - with rail workers and ambulance crews all staging fresh walkouts.
A survey carried out by the East Anglian Daily Times last week found 65% of readers have never backed strikes, while just 21% said they have always supported them - revealing public opinion in Suffolk appears to be firmly against action.
Just 7% of people have shifted from supporting strikes to opposing them - while 5% said the reverse.
According to a national YouGov survey published in December, more Britons oppose rail strikes and border guard walkouts than support them.
However, two-thirds of people (66%) appear to back recent nurse strikes.
Overall, one in three (35%) think trade unions play a positive role in Britain today, compared to 34% who think they play a negative role - with the latter rising noticeably since June.
